Wow! Food here is amazing. Small country diner at a rural cross roads. Food is really good. Counter service but wait staff refills drinks. I was here between breakfast and lunch. Hash brown casserole was best I've ever had. Definitely going to return for lunch.
Really good service and food! Was there not long ago and has the southern fried steak and eggs. A little salty, but really good. You would think that more places would offer this item on their menus, but it's pretty scarce in this area. My waitress was really sweet and made me feel right at home. It was a great experience and I'm looking forward to my next visit.
Worth the drive! Great service too! We ordered pulled pork, sweet potato and tomato bacon pie. Outstanding.
Food and service was great I had the chicken fried steak it was great the gravy was very good and the French fries were crispy. Would eat here again. Only open until 3 PM

I have to start out by saying this place brings you back to your southern roots from the moment you walk in the door. Such a cool spot with local artists painting on the wall and some really old and neat decor. I have had their breakfast here several times and their Driver omelette is amazing. Today we went for lunch and heard that they are famous for their tomato pie. After trying it, I can definitely see why!!! It is a quiche baked into a flakey pie crust (like chicken pot pie) with sliced oven roasted homegrown tomatoes seasoned to perfection. This is the best thing I have ordered from here by far. I had Mac and cheese which was ok but their collared greens and sweet potato casserole were great! The servers are great with fast southern style service that makes you feel like you are part of the family. If you are wanting a great breakfast or lunch with amazing food and people, The Hungry Drover is the place to be! Make sure before you leave, you buy a homemade cinnamon roll that is so sweet and fresh and the size of a dinner plate. Highly recommend
What a tasty treat. The chef James came out to my table and asked me how my meal was. How impressive... I'm not just talking about the fact the Chef came out to talk to me but, the fact of the food was delicious. Very tasty and clean food. All the other patrons I spoke to had nothing but great things to say as well!
Always enjoy the best breakfast meals at the restaurant! They serve a variety of other foods as well but breakfast is a favorite amongst my kids and I especially when we don't agree on the meal. One loves their large Grit Bowls, I love the French Toast, and the youngest tears up the Biscuits and Gravy! Even when packed, they do a good job to move the crowd through and get everyone fed. Beautiful local photos decorate the walls reminding you of how beautiful this part of the country is in.
